Mikelly, a middle schooler, made paintings with positive messages for his language teacher to display in the classroom. He explained that when he came to America he did not know English and it was scary and difficult at times. His paintings have messages of hope meant to encourage people struggling to learn a new language. 

Mikelly explained, “I am very happy that I could help my community and inspire others to not give up.” The paintings were a therapy that express gratitude and encourage others in a big way!
