Jackson, a high school senior, received a grant to assist in putting together a teen-only mental health fair at his church. The event was called “Band Together” and the grant helped secure guest speakers and local teen bands. The event was a huge success with a great turn out. The grant helped to cover the cost of one of the bands, the Low Darts, pictured here with MFA founder Gillian Anderson!
Peer Project Grants can be one step toward taking action to impact a cultural shift by inspiring peer-to-peer discussions, activism and awareness around mental health, emotional health and suicide prevention. Thank you, Jackson!
