Gimi Mann and Ava Klein, are high school students at the Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy. Their Peer Project idea was designed to bring more attention to mental health and suicide prevention and bring a message of hope to a large teen audience. Their project involved inviting a guest speaker to come to their school to talk with students about mental health and mental wellness and support that can help.
Their guest speaker was David Woods Bartley, a dynamic speaker, storyteller, writer, TEDx speaker and advocate who opens minds, touches hearts, creates hope and inspires others to take action by sharing his journey.
Their event was well attended by the students at their school and David stayed for a while after his talk to answer any questions the students had.
